Privacy Policy

    The short version: Cliply does not require an account. We don't sell your data. We only process what you submit (a YouTube URL) to generate content for you.
  

1. Who We Are

Cliply ("we", "us", or "our") is an AI-powered content repurposing tool available at cliply.app. We help content creators transform YouTube videos into social media posts using artificial intelligence.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the minimum information necessary to provide our service:

YouTube URLs — submitted by you to process a video. We do not store these after your session ends.
IP address — used only to enforce the free tier rate limit (1 repurpose per day). Not linked to any personal profile.
Email address — only if you subscribe to Pro plan via Stripe. Stored by Stripe, not by us directly.
Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

We do not create user accounts, do not track browsing behaviour, and do not use advertising cookies.

3. How We Use Your Information

To process your YouTube URL and return generated content
To enforce free tier rate limits by IP address
To process payments and verify Pro subscriptions via Stripe
To respond to support requests you initiate

4. Third-Party Services

Cliply uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

Anthropic (Claude AI) — generates your content. Your video transcript is sent to their API. See anthropic.com/privacy.
OpenAI Whisper — transcribes the audio from your video. Processed locally on our server.
Stripe — handles all payments. See stripe.com/privacy.
Railway — our hosting provider. See railway.app/legal/privacy.

5. Data Retention

We do not store your YouTube URLs, transcripts, or generated content after your request is complete. IP-based rate limit counters reset daily. Subscription data is retained by Stripe for billing purposes.

6. Cookies

Cliply uses only essential functional storage (localStorage in your browser) to remember your language preference and free tier usage counter. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.

7. Your Rights

Because we don't maintain user accounts or persistent personal data, most data rights (access, deletion, portability) are satisfied by default — there is no personal profile to request or delete. If you have a Pro subscription and wish to cancel and have your billing data removed, please contact Stripe directly or reach out to us.

8. Children's Privacy

Cliply is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will note the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Cliply after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
